Dead Plate walkthrough
This is the week of shifts as the official endings guide describes it, plus the interaction bugs printed on the itch.io page. It is not a transcript of every line of dialogue. Where a tip comes from a fan wiki, the paragraph says so.
All 4 endings Official itch.io page
How the week is built
You play Rody, the waiter, across a week at La Gueule de Saturne, the bistro Vince runs. The itch page calls the structure classic restaurant-tycoon play inside a character story: more than 70 CGs, 8 maps, and more than 8,000 lines of dialogue. One ending takes about 1 hour and 20 to 30 minutes. Seeing the set through takes up to about 3 hours. Save before any day whose choice you might want twice, especially before Day 7, because Hot and Cold differ only in whether Matches are equipped that morning.
Controls the itch page actually prints: face an object with the arrow keys, then press Z. If a table will not clear, press Z from its bottom-right side. The browser player on this fan site also accepts WASD, Enter, Esc, and on-screen buttons. Those are part of this site’s web build. They are not a second control list on the itch page.
Day 1 and Day 2
The official endings guide does not attach a cutscene or a dialogue flag to these days. Work the shift. At the end of a day, the apartment is where the catalogue sits. The guide mentions that catalogue when it explains Matches. It does not say you must buy anything on Day 1. If you are aiming at Best-Served Hot, start setting money aside, because Matches are the expensive item in the fan-wiki price list and Day 7 is when they have to be equipped.
Day 3
Take out the trash. The official guide says this plays a cutscene, and it is requirement 1 for the phone call. There is no alternate Day 3 task in that document. If you skip the trash, the guide’s list says you will not be on the path to the other three endings.
Day 4
Two things. First, walk into the kitchen after a minute has passed on the shift. The guide says this plays a cutscene. It does not define the minute more tightly than “past a minute mark.” Second, talk to Vince and choose “Can you give me a raise” and “Do you like your job.” Both options are written in the guide. It does not say the order between them, only that those are the lines.
Day 5
Talk to Vince and choose “What’s your favorite food.” Later, during the night restaurant segment, go to Vince’s office and interact with the trash can. That office trash can is the fifth and last condition before the call. The daytime favorite-food line and the nighttime trash can are separate steps. Doing only one of them does not match the guide.
Day 6
The phone call is at night. Answer yes. The guide says the other three endings require this call. It does not describe a different scene for refusing. After you answer, later fan-wiki pages describe a dinner at Vincent’s home. That dinner is not written in the official five-step list. The endings page keeps it in the wiki section, including the claim that a freezer key is on the bedroom nightstand.
Day 7
This morning is the split. Leave Matches unequipped and enter the freezer when the shift starts for Best-Served Cold. Equip Matches and enter the freezer for Best-Served Hot. If you are in the final chase and you fail a quick-time prompt, the guide calls that Abattoir. Table for One is the ending attached to simply completing the shifts across the week. Keep a save from before you equip or unequip Matches if you want both freezer endings.
The apartment catalogue
The official guide’s only catalogue sentence is that Matches can be purchased from the catalogue on the table in Rody’s apartment. The Dead Plate Fandom catalogue page adds a shop name, Collectionneur: Magazine for Gourmet Living, and says leftover pay above the day’s minimum can be spent there, up to six items. It lists cologne at €500 for customer patience, skates at €300 for speed, a watch at €400 for a longer shift, Matches at €1300, a trash can at €350 for garbage capacity, and a tip jar at €450 for tips. Treat the prices as wiki information. The developer’s endings document does not repeat them.
Kitchen order, from a fan wiki
The La Gueule de Saturne wiki page says the switch beside the kitchen tells the kitchen to cook, and that the cook’s priority is dessert, then sides, then main, then appetizer. Pressing the switch while something is already cooking shows “Waiting...” That priority is not in the official endings guide. It is included here because players ask why a ticket seems to come out in the wrong order. If the wiki is wrong about your version, the in-game ticket is the authority.
Known bugs
- Nothing happens when you try to use an object: face it with the arrow keys, then press Z.
- A table will not clean: try Z from the bottom-right side of the table.
- Near the end of one ending, two protagonist sprites can appear. The itch page calls this the body-double glitch and says to ignore it.
FAQ
Do Days 1 and 2 have special steps?
The official endings guide does not list any. It starts the extra conditions on Day 3. Work the shifts, then use the apartment catalogue after the day if you are buying items.
Which Vince lines matter?
On Day 4 the official guide says to pick “Can you give me a raise” and “Do you like your job.” On Day 5 it says to pick “What’s your favorite food.”
Where do I buy Matches?
The official guide says the catalogue is on the table in Rody’s apartment. A fan wiki lists Matches at €1300. Equip them before the Day 7 shift only if you want Best-Served Hot.
Why will an object not interact?
The itch.io known-bugs note says to face the object with the arrow keys before pressing Z. For a table that will not clean, try Z from the bottom-right side.
