Silver Thread series

Silver Thread: Deux is Spica’s second Alicia Wilkershire case. She is hired to investigate a theater people say is haunted. The creator’s ending guide scores the investigation, and a total of 3 or higher plus a successful Spirit Box reading is what that guide requires for the good ending.

The theater job

Deux keeps the question from Episode I: do ghosts exist, and why would an exorcist who doubts them be the right person to ask? After rumors of a haunted theater, Alicia is hired to investigate. The page does not say what she finds. It does say the session is about 1 to 1.5 hours, that there are 2 endings, and that a walkthrough is available. The warning is cartoon blood and violence. A prequel exists, and the page also says Deux works as a standalone.

How the case is scored

The 19 April 2024 devlog “SILVER THREAD : DEUCE ENDING GUIDE” says there is a good ending and a bad ending, and that you gain or lose points from what you examine. Take the battery on the stage for +1. Present that battery to Itou for −1, or present it to Caspian for +1. Examine the hair iron in the changing room for +1. Check the mirror in the changing room for +1.

Two notes sit in the changing room, one on Astrea’s table and one in the trash. Choosing “there’s two senders” is +1. Choosing “They got caught halfway” is −1. On Itou’s question, “It’s Plausible” is −3, and “I doubt it” leaves your points unchanged. The good ending needs a rating of 3 or higher and a successful Spirit Box use in the hidden room. The guide says the bad ending has extra character lore if you want that instead.

Walkthrough order from the same devlog

  1. Check the computer. The year it wants is 1940, from the statue or the plaque at the entrance.
  2. Read the computer’s pinned email.
  3. Go up on the railings and use the control panel to drop the weight, then go down and check the weight.
  4. Use the key from Itou to open the next section.
  5. Check the piano in the bottom room for a letter, and the bookshelf in the upper room for the play archives.
  6. On the training-room thermostat, enter 55. The guide ties that number to a play held in 1955.
  7. Check the second mirror from the right.
  8. Use the Spirit Box in the first hidden room.
  9. Find the note in the second hidden room.
  10. Return to where Itou is waiting. The ending depends on your points and on whether the Spirit Box worked.

Those steps are the creator’s general walkthrough, paraphrased from that devlog. They are not a substitute for looking at the objects yourself if you want the point bonuses above. Missing the battery, handing it to Itou, or calling Itou’s story plausible are the large ways the guide says the score drops.

Credits and translations

The game is credited to Spica. RPG Maker MV plugins listed are Galv, Yanfly, Himeworks, Waynee95, Mjshi, Mr. Trivel, Gimmer, and Fallen Angel Olivia. Pixel sources are Limezu and VectorPixelStar. Music and sound are Peritune, FreqMan, and DOVA-SYNDROME. Simplified Chinese is credited to Caelum. Japanese translation is credited to Kyua, with Eufree beside that credit. The Windows zips are how those translations are offered. The HTML5 embed is the build this page can load. The page does not say the browser file includes every language zip.

A second devlog from the same day, 19 April 2024, is a postmortem. This page does not summarize that essay. Episode I is the prequel, now on a remastered browser upload, and Episode 3 is the later single-ending case. Deux’s own text says you can play it without the prequel.
